That’s a Wrap!

We hope you had a super fun two weeks of Ashgrove’s Virtual Adventure!

The webpage, with all its links and activity PDFs, will remain live for the next several months so if you want to revisit your favorite camp activities (or if you didn’t get to all of them these past two weeks) you’ll be able to do so.

We hope to see you all again, in person, next year at (drumroll for theme reveal) Games & Giggles Galore: Let the Games Begin!

Until then, we leave you with our traditional Irish Blessing and hope that, until we meet again, you all stay safe (and have fun)!

Virtual Ashgrove 2020

Ashgrove Adventure is about FUN and CONNECTION. With current world-wide health and safety concerns requiring us to cancel our in-person playtime in the woods at Camp Crowell this summer, we all still need and want to have fun and connect.

We recognize that many families are on overload with requirements of multi-tasking work, school, and family at home. To address all these concerns and needs, Ashgrove Adventure will be offering virtual activities/ at home activities for anyone who would like to participate. We want you and your family to have fun, in your own time and space, and be able to connect with the rest of Ashgrove virtually. There’s no obligation to participate.

On June 22, and on each day we would have been at camp, we will be posting a variety of activities for the day. As ‘camp’ gets closer, we will post a supply list and suggested preparations to be able to fully participate. (Supplies will be designed to be readily available in most homes, low cost so as not to burden any family during these uncertain financial times, and easily available through grocery stores or stores offering curb-side pick-up to allow participants to continue social distancing.)

So, dig out your fun t-shirts (Ashgrove or Girl Scout shirts if you have them) and shorts (no shoes or knee-socks required at home!) and get ready to have fun and connect as we explore Ashgrove’s Virtual Adventure. “Camping” days will soon be here with Ashgrove and we’re going to have a lot of FUN!

(In-Person) Ashgrove 2020 Cancelled

Those of you who were registered for Ashgrove Adventure 2020 should have received an email from GSCNC informing you that all in-person summer camps are being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

You will receive a full refund back to your original payment method in the next 2-3 weeks. If you have any questions, please reach out to the GSCNC Customer Care team at registration@gscnc.org.

I’m sure you’re as disappointed as we are, but the fun and games will be back in 2021 – literally! We now have an extra 12 months to brainstorm and prepare our Games & Giggles Galore theme, which means Ashgrove Adventure 2021 will be some seriously amazing fun in the sun.

We hope you stay safe and look forward to seeing you again next summer.

2020 Center Training

Dozens of Ashgrove center adults and aides gathered this week to kick off our planning for Ashgrove 2020. We may be under stay-at-home orders until June 10th, but that gives us almost two weeks before the start of camp, right?

While we wait to see how the situation evolves, we’ll be busy getting creative, planning program, drawing snowmen, and generally making merry!
